It's Saturday morning in Medora. The UW Badgers played football today, so we stayed home and watched the game. Wisconsin looks good, but the test will be next week, when they play AZ State! We went downtown Medora and got there just in time to see the Wagon Train come in from Buffalo SD. They do this yearly, and they have a parade through the town. These people have been traveling for 7 days, and I'm sure they smelled like it, too. Ah, life on the range! It was a neat thing to see. After the parade, we drove through the southern unit of the TRNP and saw 4 herds of bison, and 3 herds of horses. The park says they are feral, but they are just like our wild horses, that we see in AZ. There were some foals in some of the herds. The horses ranged in the size of 6 horses to about a dozen. We saw a very large herd of bison, and 3 lesser in size. I did catch one lone bull on video, rolling in the dust. Their rut season is over, so the bulls separate from the herd. Hummmmmm. We also saw a lot of Prairie Dogs. We did a little geo-caching in the area and called it a day.
