November 3, 2013 Florence, OR

November 3, 2013 Depoe Bay/Florence, OR

We left Depoe Bay this morning, and  were lucky enough to hook up without rain. We had the worst campground in Depoe Bay of all, on our trip.  Even the voltage meter read very low, so we were careful what we had plugged in at all times. Much unlike our place in Florence, for the next five days.  This is a great campground, with big sites and cement pads. They have a large room with a big screen television and plush leather seats, and we are going over Monday night to watch the Packer/Bears game. They are Duck's fans here, of course, so we'll go over again Thursday night and watch the Ducks/Stanford game.  We have a lot of things we want to see in this area, so we hope we get some sunshine or at least 'overcast' days during our stay here.  They are predicting a week of rain, so we'll just be ready to go when we see a dry spell. The drive over was gorgeous, even in the rain. The road rises above the ocean in some areas, and is just jaw-dropping beautiful! Jim had to keep his eyes on the road, as it was quite winding, and with the rain, it was a full time job just driving. I'm glad we didn't have far to go today.
