Oct. 16, 2013 Port Angeles WA

Oct. 16, 2013 Port Angeles
We were hoping that the government would have settled their problems by today, so we could go to Olympic National Park, but they haven’t.  We are leaving tomorrow for Hoquiam, WA, and we still feel we have done everything and more in this area, and it’s time to move on.  We have been blessed with beautiful weather! We have exhausted all we had planned to do here and more, so we did a loop hike within the park.  We saw some seals in front of our campground site this afternoon.   We have also seen a submarine being escorted into the strait by two huge ships and several Coast Guard ships.  This happened twice this week, so we are thinking it must just be a practice maneuver for them.  For my pictures today, I’ll recap our time here with various totem poles that we saw in this area and on Vancouver Island.
